Recommendation Letters
I will be happy to write recommendation letters (or serve as a reference)
for students who have taken a class from me and done reasonably
well, or who I know well otherwise (e.g., by research interaction). To
help me write a thorough letter I need the following items (compiled in
a folder). Please give (or mail, if you are an off-campus student) hardcopies
of these to my administrative assistant (see my Web page).

Transcript (unofficial is fine), your current GPA, and your GPA for only
courses in your major

Statement of purpose, if you are applying for graduate school admission

Forms of reference that I need to fill out (if any). Please help me to
fill out as much "administrative information" as you can, including all
information pertaining to yourself as well as my contact information (you
can copy from my Web page). You should also waive your right to view the
letter. Sign everything you need to sign.

Addressed envelops (we can put the stamps on for you)-- Letters will be
sent directly from here
Time: Please allow at least two weeks (after these materials
are received) for the completion of a letter.
