Gentilly car 884 pauses June 10, 1947 at Bourbon St. on the outer Canal St. lakebound track to load passengers before turning right and proceeding down to Almonaster and Franklin Avenues to the Gentilly neighborhood.  This was one of the few New Orleans streetcar lines named for the neighborhood it served rather than the street(s) it traversed.
